Rhodes Place is a brand new retail and hotel
development right in the heart of Cape Town.
This modern property boasts an impressive seven story
atrium. From the ground floor shopping and reception
areas visitors can see up to the seventh floor.
This huge space was filled with an impressive 20 meter
spiral of giant inflatable 2.5m diameter Star
Lights.
As night approaches the stars start to glow brightly in
different colours. Anyone seeing this spectacular lighting
and decor creation are left feeling awestruck and amazed. |

Africa's largest casino and entertainment world
has just launched its latest Star Wars slot machines.
A series of futuristic visual displays enhanced the
entrance, gaming floors and car stages.
These impressive displays created a lot of attention
as guests were drawn to the new slot machines.
A wide range of special effects were used that included
flashing and colour-changing LED
Starcloths.

production toured the U.K. and Europe. The stage look
was achieved with a 'stretch set' creating an ever changing
backdrop of swirling gobos and a barrage of dynamic
colours. The rig consisted of two flown trusses as well as
four ground support towers which were covered by the
stretch set. Lights: 24xVL6c, 12xVL5, 70xPAR64,

Lancashire in England and while there started
getting involved with lighting in the local
entertainment scene. From there Steve soon
progressed to working with high profile recording
artists as their lighting designer, which took him
to over 30 countries lighting bands such as

Divine
Comedy, The
Music,
Helloween
& Carter
USM. |

such as Levis,
Microsoft,
Phillips,

toured with bands such as Oasis,
Radiohead,
Reef,
The
Charlatans, The
Lightning Seeds and
has worked on shows for Iron
Maiden, Take
That,
Jamiroquai,
All
Saints and Boyzone. |

This
production tour traveled extensively across the U.K.
The concept was a 'wrap-around-cactus-truss-creation'
with an overload of moving lights and strobes shining in all
directions. The silver truss creation was part of the look
and was lit with bright colours. Lights: 18xMAC500,
16xMAC600, 16xDeathstar Strobes, 4xCity Colours.

production toured Europe, USA, Japan, Oz and NZ.
The box truss with its angled lighting bars and moving lights
created a wall of intense light. A UV backdrop was revealed
during the show as well as an entrancing mirrorball effect.

screen surrounded the band which had gobo effects
projected onto it. The screen was surrounded by festoons
making it a real feature. Random mirrorballs scattered the
truss and coloured strobes blasted out from around the
